The Pineal Gland

Grows from birth until around 1/2 years of age, It’s the location of the third eye chakra - the chakra responsible for your intuition and when blocked can cause depression, anxiety, self-doubt & sleep issues.


When you’re waking up out of your sleep, particularly during the hours of 2-3am it’s important to meditate and listen to spirit.


Your sleep is being disrupted meaning that regeneration of your pineal gland is not happening effectively.


Calcification is a natural and unavoidable process, though the speed that ones pineal gland calcifies is dependent on different factors such as sunlight exposure and melatonin levels. Health factors can also play a role in the size of a persons pineal gland such as obesity or insomnia.


The pineal gland calcifies faster than any other gland in the body.

When we sleep our pineal gland releases the chemical melatonin which promotes regeneration of the pineal gland, it’s responsible for the sleep/wake cycle and is a powerful anti-oxidant.


All vertebrates have a pineal gland.

Children have larger pineal glands, as puberty slows down the production of melatonin (hence why children are innately more intuitive).


Fun Fact: A seals pineal gland is 27 times larger than a humans due to the extremely cold temperature they live in.


Things that decalcify/restore your pineal gland: Sleep (at night), darkness, colder temperatures, apple cider vinegar, aloe, blue lotus, turmeric, sun gazing.


Things that calcify your pineal gland: Fluoride, calcium, meat, processed food, negativity, television
